How can I travel to Mount Fuji from Tokyo? I'm not with any tour group.? - tokyo train route finder
Is it possible to travel to Mount Fuji with my friend in Tokyo? We are on a path of R & D and this is our first time in Japan. What is the quickest route by train, bus, do you suggest?
So, what is the approximate time to get there? December is a good time to visit? Thank you.

If you want to climb Mt Fuji, then you need to go in or near the summer. It will open climb for the winter.
The latest latest information. I recommend this to a copy of "Lonely Planet - Japan." You can search for Mt Fuji and includes all relevant information.
Definitely, accessible from Tokyo by various means. You can take the Shinkansen (Bullet Train), a variety of local buses and trains is also likely. It might take you an hour to two hours to go there. Check the directory. This will not be a big help just there, but nothing else to do in Japan. It lists hotels, restaurants, transportation, etc. for every budget. It contains photos, maps, top names in Japanese, expressions, etc. The Japanese also use this book.
To see the mountain in winter and no intention of mounting, too, then renting a car can be an option. There are some beautiful lakes in the vicinity, so you might want to go there.
It depends on whether you want to see the Mountian or just climb up and a few photos.
Climbing can take place in late summer.
The best time to see the mountains in late winter and early spring .... Now the snow on the Mountian.
It takes about 2 to 3 hours from downtown Tokyo on a train. If you have an International Driving Permit can be in 1 1 / 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic.
Select a travel agency JTB in Japan for a tour.
Japan Guide also contains information.
