Is a Residential Lease Agreement binding when the owner used a form for 2006 instead of the correct 2007 date? - texas residential lease form
We found the Texas Tenants Advisor online and I hope someone can help answer some basic questions that help us decide whether they speak with an attorney about our situation.
Toward the end of July this year, we rent this house for a monthly rental of $ 650.00 for one (1) one year lease with the owner of this property. It was for me, my girlfriend and my daughter, who was a senior in high school.
We decided to terminate the residential lease for a period of one (1) year from 1 Into force in August 2007 and ending 31st July 2008. However, after inspection of the residential lease agreement, the company, as I discovered the owner of the contract concluded with the wrong date, the lease states starting August 1, 2006 for what is actually not in force for the time and dates in 2007 and 2008 for those who live there.
He also laid relieve a lein against our property.

You should talk to a lawyer about it. Although a fundamental disagreement between the parties to a contract, a simple error is usually not cancel - and this is probably a mistake.
